3D Printing Construction Industry Leaders Seminar, Suzhou China

SUZHOU, October 17 2019 – The 3D Printed Building Technology and Infrastructure Application Seminar was held at the Suzhou Plant of Yingchuang Building Technology (Shanghai) Co., Ltd on October 17th, 2019. A Chinese High-level delegation of Directors or the largest Chinese construction corporations visits Winsun 3D Parks in Shanghai and Suzhou.

During the program, participants visited Winsun 3D Printing Cycle Industrial Park in Qingpu Shanghai, the Winsun 3D Printing Factory in Suzhou and their latest 3D Printed Ecological Revetment wall project along the Suzhou Creek shoreline.

The 500 meters Suzhou Creek shoreline is the world’s first 3D printed river revetment wall with modules to provide a retaining wall for protection. This ecologically developed riverbank shoreline is integrally formed with the function of retaining the earth and stop the impact of the waves. This new development allows for an upgraded river revetment function that is enabled by 3D printing construction technology. From the original “common water flow” function, it has now evolved into both flood control and it preserves its original ecological functions. 3D printing technology changes the shoreline to maintain the static beauty of its past “smooth and straight direction”, which makes the riverbank bank move, providing a high-quality living environment for local flora and fauna, and provides a safe and recreational spot with beautiful aesthetics for coastal residents. Several spaces are created to provide a colorful green riverside. The printed structures are set on top of the riverbank and provides habitat for nature and plants to grow on top of the wall.

The conference gathered representatives from different fields such as government, enterprises, scientific research institutions, financial institutions, etc and explored 3D printed building technology in the field of construction, municipal, infrastructure, engineering, ecological coastline, and diversified perspectives.

3D printing is the future of our industrial development and may grow to a mainstream production method. The construction industry standards, strengthens and expands, and seizes the initiative to deepen infrastructure and public welfare projects. Mr. Ma Yihe showed the members of the delegation the different sites. As Chairman of Yingchuang he explained about his experiences in the journey to develop and expand 3D printing technolgy inside China and abroad. He wenth through the pioneering, innovating, environmentally friendly, economical and applicable characteristics of the developed 3D printed construction methods.

Winsun has created more than 225 national patents and successfully printed products such as dwelling houses, ecological projects, infrastructure projects and Huimin projects. It is the first high-tech enterprise in the world to truly realize 3D printed construction and put the technology on the market. The audience was impressed by all information that was shared, and was very interested to explore future projects, due the the advantages that 3D printing is providing for construction and infrastructure projects.

Ms Ye Haohong, the senior engineer at the Shanghai Research Institution of Building Sciences, thoroughly explained the quality of the products, materials and the development of 3D printed building standards for Yingchuang’s 3D printed buildings. Winsun’s 3D printed building materials environmental protection index and radioactivity index are in line with national standards. Also the developed technology meets the structural destructive test of printed small houses, promotes the application of 3D printed technology market, and urgently needs the state to promote the construction of national standards. Let 3D printed building technology be widely used.

Participants speak freely Mr. Qi, Chairman of China Railway Construction Corporation Co., Ltd (CRCC) said that “3D printed is going to break through the standard limitations in products, integrate products and solve comprehensive problems.” Mr Zhuang Jiliang, vice president of the China Association for Poverty Alleviation, said that in many poor areas of China, its resources are not poor, and the poor is the infrastructure. Winsun 3D printed buildings use solid waste as raw materials, and the cost is lower than traditional methods, which can change poverty alleviation facilities.

Mr. Yu Shengkuan, founder of Henan Institute of Intelligent Technology, pointed out that the core elasticity of 3D printed building gold content is the most fundamental vitality. Yingchuang should open the market by making a fuss about the concept of drift. Mr. Li Long, deputy general manager of China Communications Technology Co., Ltd. said that Winsun has truly identified its own market objectives, positioning and innovation. Zhu Jianping, chairman of Wuyuan Company, said that 3D printed buildings will be a corner overtaking for the construction and development of African countries such as Nigeria, and it is expected that the 3D printed buildings will be scaled up in Nigeria. Mr. Li Yimin, the head of the branch of the China Financial and Economic Publishing House of the Ministry of Finance, pointed out that 3D technology will solve the employment problem.

After the meeting, Mr. Wang Lin, CEO of Winsun (Yingchuang Building Technology (Shanghai) Co., Ltd) announced to the participants their 3D printing construction cooperation modes. Yingchuang highlights the open cooperation model. The cooperation lies in the cooperation and win-win situation, complementing each other’s advantages, making things bigger and bigger, serving the national one-on-one strategy, and developing in terms of profitability and operational capability.

Everyone fully expressed their views and discussed how to cooperate and jointly promote 3D printing construction technology. This meeting shared the most cutting-edge ideas and promoted true cooperation.

Winsun Nigeria project

During the conference, attention went to the latest developments in Africa. Eric Hoefmans, COO of the Nigerian Joint Venture Nigeria explained the development and market application of 3D printed buildings in Nigeria. The country has expressed intersed to further develop 3D printing project for their affordable housing programmes, for example for 12000 units for Lagos State government.
